Georges Hobeika Signature F/W 2012-2013
Georges Hobeika discovered his love for fashion design as he fulfilled his mother’s requests to assist her in servicing her growing clientele. While his study of civil engineering had proved invaluable for the sketch work, it was Georges Hobeika’s imagination and raw embroidering talent that won the hearts of his mother’s younger clients and beckoned his future in couture creation. Intrigued by fabrics and the thrill of creating his own designs, he took on an increasingly proactive role in the business and decided to travel to the heart of haute couture to pursue a career in fashion design more seriously. In 1994, he ventured to Paris and pursued internships at prestigious fashion houses.

Vera Wang Fall/2012 Womens Ready-to-Wear Collection
Opposites (black and white, structure and flou) are reconciled in grey. Grey, at once industrial and poetic: hard as steel, dove-soft.
Illuminated with flashes of color, sparkling ornamentation, an engineered architectural print, the achromatic granite-toned scale throws the textures of sculpted wools, solid felts, and cowled chiffons into relief.
A sensual silhouette long, narrow, leggy extending from a high neckline. caught at peplumed hips. Clothing as sanctuary: The body protectively enveloped in the soft armor of a fitted sheath, the sharp discipline of fencing- inspired jackets, the structured carapace of a coat. The female form revealed by smoky transparencies that allow a glimpse of skin and of delicate lingerie not meant to be hidden, but seen.
Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2012/13 Women's Collection
Just Cavalli Women's Fall/Winter collection 2012-13
Fur coats in marmot, fox and lapin in ocelot print are alternated with jackets in suede and metallic leather, in crocodile print or jaguar printed pony skin.Shoulders are accentuated and rounded, implying a rigorous attitude. Legs are enhanced by lurex leggings or printed leggings with side inserts of lace.Neoprene wool lined in silk and wool combined with leather for the outerwear: thick wool with a geometric pattern and three-dimensional cable knit for the knitwear.
Prints, a signature of the Maison Cavalli since its beginning, are geometric and reworked in animalier print: pied de poule prints inspired by jaguar skin, trompe l'oeil print created with images of knots, chevron printed fur, or lace-trimmed floral, jaguar and optical prints that recall zebra skin.
The collection is embellished with macro jeweled buttons, Mary Jane shoes with stiletto heels and boots completely covered with glitter or in patent laser-treated to give the effect of lace, as are both the large and small bags.
